Custom Tile & Stone
Custom Tile & Stone Installation
Skilled installation of custom tile, natural stone, and mosaic work — for kitchens, bathrooms, and architectural features throughout the home.
Precision in every joint
Fine tile and stone work is defined by what you cannot see: the substrate preparation, the layout planning, the consistency of the joints. We approach every installation with the same discipline — whether it is a simple field tile floor or a complex stone mosaic feature wall.
We work directly with homeowners, interior designers, and architects to understand the material, the space, and the result expected. Tile and stone selection, layout planning, and installation are handled as a single considered process — not a series of disconnected trades.
Specialties
What we install
Natural Stone
Marble, limestone, travertine, slate, and quartzite. Each slab and tile selected, cut, and laid with attention to veining, grain direction, and the character of the material.
Porcelain & Ceramic Tile
Large-format porcelain, rectified tile, and precision ceramic work. Substrate preparation and lippage control are the foundation of a flat, lasting result.
Mosaic & Decorative Tile
Hand-cut stone mosaic, glass tile, encaustic cement tile, and decorative field patterns. Careful layout planning ensures the design reads as intended across the full surface.
Kitchen Backsplashes
From simple subway tile to complex pattern work and stone slab backsplashes. Precise cuts around outlets, windows, and cabinetry for a clean, finished result.
Bathroom Tile & Wet Areas
Full bathroom tile installations — floors, walls, showers, and wet rooms. Waterproofing, membrane installation, and slope work done correctly before a single tile is set.
Architectural Features
Fireplace surrounds, feature walls, entry floors, and custom inlays. Tile and stone used as a considered architectural element rather than a surface finish.
Our Process
How we work
01
Consultation & Layout
We review the space, the material, and the intended result. Layout lines are planned from the room's visual center — not the nearest wall — so cuts and pattern breaks fall where they should.
02
Substrate Preparation
Floors and walls are checked for level, plumb, and structural integrity. Cement board, uncoupling membranes, and waterproofing are installed where required — the work that determines whether a tile installation lasts.
03
Setting & Grouting
Tile is set with the correct mortar for the material and substrate. Joints are kept consistent throughout. Grout selection, mixing, and application are treated with the same care as the setting work.
04
Finishing & Sealing
Natural stone and porous materials are sealed appropriately. Transitions, thresholds, and trim pieces are fitted and finished. The space is cleaned and reviewed with you before we leave.
